MCN in conjunction with CHEC Community Health Education Concepts have
developed this course offering designed to raise health care provider’s Cultural Competency knowledge while also providing clinicians with the tools and
resources needed to initiate and engage in coversations
about Cultural Competency.
Issues discussed in this course include: a discussion over the definition of Migrant and the implications that arise. In addition we will touch upon the health concerns among the migrant population and what we must do to achieve cultural competency.

Importance of Vaccinations is a foundation course designed to provide you with relevant information related to working with migrants and the importance of child and adult vaccinations. This course presents a rationale for why vaccines are important and the status and barriers to immunization faced by migrant Latino children in the US.
